Islam Channel is looking for a Production Assistant for the Religious Programming Department. The role involves working on live religious programmes such as IslamiQA, Recite, NQC and the Tajweed show. The department requires a candidate to assist with live gallery, shoots and budgets

Launched in 2004, Islam Channel now broadcasts seven days a week in 2 languages, with over a million viewers across the globe. Broadcasting on Sky and Virgin Media, as well as Online, we produce a wide variety of pre-recorded content and live shows: news, magazine, sport, lifestyle, religious and more.
The candidate will help produce the flagship daily news & current affairs show, as well as conduct interviews, write & record VOs/VTs and write scripts for Autocue.
Requirements: To be suitable for the role you’ll ideally have a journalism qualification, although experience in a similar role will be considered.
Knowledge of the world of news and current affairs would be an advantage but a willingness to learn is also essential.
You’ll have an outgoing personality both on and off screen and feel comfortable on the phone or face-to-face as you source and book guests for the daily show.

About us: The Dawah Project is an Islamic education charity registered in the UK.
